good winter break

my break was completely full. i did so many fun things and had such a great time. i spent just about every second with jenn, made a new goood friend, made cupcakes with oreo owls on them, made a fort/slept in it, played the drums, went to disneyland, ate lots of ice cream, made paninis, found some amazing shoes/rocker, was in a car crash(not my fault), saw kitties, started a music video, visited san jose(ate more paninis), danced too much/ridiculously, sewed some crazy animals, PLAYED SO MUCH APPLES TO APPLES, went on a ds lite hunt(came out victorious), never got to watch spirited away, played a game of soccer that ended with a painful knee, went to sports authority/ampm with my bro and helped him with fallout, tried a sonic's blast(ew), got a vacuum cleaner!, and almost crashed the beast.

Dept Toxic Substances Control

My mom sent me a link to Sacramento State's job opportunities. I was like alright, I will make her happy and apply for a job. I applied for a job at the Dept Toxic Substances Control as a student graphic designer. Sounds like I would have been making brochures, posters and things like that. I sent in an application and they called me! I havent thought about it since I sent it out like three weeks ago. I have to call them tomorrow. That would be so amazing for a summer job! I could be making money and doing what I like to doooo! I made sure to write on my application that I took an Intro to Environmental Issues class last semester. HOW CUTE it is called the Clean Air Partnership. I like the environment and graphic design! Wish me luck! Anyway, I was sitting in the Art building here and I was thinking about how I wasnt all that alone in San Jose. There are plenty of people that don't enjoy rap or use the word 'hyphy' in normal speech(not to say that's bad because I use it too). Everyone in that building is so full of themselves but at the same time not. It is like a whole different world in there. I couldn't imagine going to an art school and it being the other way around, going into a business building and everyone is wearing sweats and stuff. I still feel alone here but I think once I take some more art classes I could make some friends with similar interests. I guess coming here made me realize not everyone knows what I am talking about when I tell them about movies or music. Just about everyone doesn't care about being cool and I should go to bed. I am just sick and tired of trying to do the right things to be accepted. I don't give a fuck any more.

I was watching Aqua Teen on tv today and I realized Master Shake and Granny, from Squidbillies, are the same voice. I guess this guy, Dana Snyder, is on The Venture Brothers and Minoriteam too. I was impressed with myself. Bought a fancy bag today.

Some days things are wonderful here. The other day I came back from classm, everyone was in one room watching Blue's Clues and singing along. It was a really nice bonding moment. Today, randomly, Rachel asked me to go swimming, totally spur of the moment. We went swimming and walked back with freezing feet.

Ah. I am angry with the violinist from Beirut. Apparently she doesn't know a medium from a small. Seems when I try to be nice it gets messed up.

I think I am getting a much different college experience than my friends. I am surrounded by huge black men and rap music. I know all these horrible songs and have developed a love for Justin Timberlake. Today I caught myself saying the word "chill". Things seem so much less cool here than at other colleges. I stay up until 1 in the morning every night doing nothing. Am I doomed to only have friends in the Lodi area? Feels like no one has anything in common with me. If I think they do they turn out to be terrible people I don't want anything to do with or creepy. I love my roommates to death but I can't talk to them about anything I am interested in. When I watch movies they tell me they're weird. I took one of my roommates to see Shortbus... If you've seen it, you'll know I might have made a mistake. I must look like some crazy closet lesbian, the other movie one of my roommates saw with me was Priscilla Queen of the Desert. I wish there were some cooler things going on here besides the FUCKING FIRE ALARM going off every 5 seconds. On another note, I spent like 50 dollars on groceries so I am gonna go snack.

I guess some cool things happen.. Just not what I would think was cool. Like, yesterday there was this rap off in my kitchen. Two guys were insulting each other while rapping. They said the word mozzarella.

I have totally forgotten what I like to do. I am remembering all the stuff I have forgotten like watching movies, reading my books, going to the movies, listening to music, and being alone. I never get a minute to do anything but be with everyone or do homework. My roommate is out possibly getting laid and I am here alone listening to music. I don't think I have gotten to bed before 1am in weeks. I wonder if I can continue this. My roommates never seem to do homework so it is hard to find time to do my own. I have done my homework and studying and now I don't know what to do. I think everyone is watching Love and Basketball? For some reason they were obsessed with finding it. There is no time to find new music or movies. This weekend I am going shopping with my roommates for Halloween outfits. We are doing a Playboy bunny theme and I get to be the dominatrix bunny. Great, an excuse to dress like a slut. I am actually pretty excited because we are dressing up in corsets and I get to whip people. Everyone is going to wear a corset and have their own theme like ghetto bunny, cheetah bunny, and I don't remember the rest. They picked mine for me when I was out. I think I hear someone crying. I have a midterm tomorrow that I am pretty ready for. :D Nip/Tuck was pretty insane and nasty tonight. I made this awesome picture of me and my roommates.

Last night I stayed up until 12:30 playing many games of Uno. Oh, Uno. I have a lab partner for Human Biology and she seems really cool. Bought a graphic novel called Sheherazade because I have not spent my money, I also checked out Stuck Rubber Baby and Caricatures. My video is still doing fairly well on YouTube with lots of weird comments. I love my roommates but I need to make some friends. There is really annoying music pulsating through the room.

Oh and I found Jeff's friend Liz goes here and is two floors above me.
